Upgrade from mint 8 to mint 9

Hello All Mint User ,

Here I m sharing how to Upgrade ur Mint8 desktop to new Mint9

to do this u have to replace ur mint8 repo /etc/apt/sources.list

its ur Sources.list

deb http://packages.linuxmint.com/ helena main upstream import

deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ karmic main restricted universe multiverse

deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ karmic-updates main restricted universe multiverse

deb http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ karmic-security main restricted universe multiverse

deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu/ karmic partner

deb http://packages.medibuntu.org/ karmic free non-free

replace all with newer repo soucrce

deb http://packages.linuxmint.com/ isadora main upstream import
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid main restricted universe multiverse
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid-updates main restricted universe multiverse
deb http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid-security main restricted universe multiverse
deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu/ lucid partner
deb http://packages.medibuntu.org/ lucid free non-free

now just run this command

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

and reboot .... TC
